Why cant i mail my rabbit

The quest is to get a perfect rabbit and perfect squirrel and I've been trying to get either for the last 6 chapters and finally got the rabbit but it wont' let me mail it

You need to have all animals on you from the list

That's the first one of those hunting lists, right? IIRC she wants a perfect rabbit pelt, not the whole animal.

is ther eany easier way to get these im like 300-400 horus in and only got the rabbit because someone ate half of it and ran away

Get all the small animals first, animals that fit in your satchel will not rot. Rabbits, Possum, Skunk, Badger, those hang on your saddle and will rot over time, so always get those last. Also note if you wreck your horse they will fly off and you have to pick them up and hang them back on your saddle. So for the first one, get a perfect squirrel first, then hunt for the perfect rabbit. I just ride around slowly and shoot them with the varmint rifle when they run out. Also if you pick up the small game animals before the hunting quest they will stay good in your satchel until time to turn them. Make sure you got the buck trinket, they won't all be perfect but you will eventually get them.

How do you find perfect squirrels they don't even show up at the spots the map has squirrel marks

Squirrels take a small game arrow to get perfect, its frustrating. I just use the buck trinket and varmint rifle and kill multiple squirrels. They will all show as 2 star when you pick them up, but when you put them in your satchel, some of them will be perfect. Just ride around slow on your horse up and down trails anywhere near woods and they will pop out.

If you find 3 star animal simply get off your horse and track it. Preferably use blending thing. Animal will likely first run away, but eventually will sop and you can get a clean headshot. Idk, squirrels are rather common, try looking for more than 2 minutes.
