Why do people like Sadie Adler (Honest question)
To me, she's the only female of the gang that causes more trouble than she mends. She can't help but shoot any O'Driscoll she sets her sights on, and that's not a positive trait.

Colm was hanged in front of her - there was no need to start a firefight in the middle of San Denis during the hanging. The O'Driscolls probably wouldn't have retaliated anyway. Their gang wasn't a family, just a job. Old Leader dies, a new one arises. There's even a line one of them says in the next Sadie mission along the lines of "Colm's dead - we don't follow him no more. Why are you still after us?"

In comparison, all the other women, I believe, are better role models. Abigail especially, but also Tilly, Marybeth, and even Karen before she hit the bottle. They may not gunsling on a regular basis, but if Abigail can handle a weapon when it's needed, my bet is they all can. With all the teaching Dutch and Hosea did for the gang, I can't imagine any member of that gang couldn't handle themselves.

But my rant aside, my genuine question is to better understand... why DO people like Sadie? I won't argue with any of you. I already presented my opinion and now I just want to observe and learn. No arguments please.

People like her so much, because she's a flawed character.

Flawed and personable, vulnerable and hard-as-nails. Yeah, on the money, sir.

Her character is not only about "wearing a yellow shirt".

Her character is pretty cool and well written.
She lost her husband, murdered, then she remained sequestered at home, probably raped many time, then she was forced to leave her house because it was burned by Micah.
After that, she tried to stay with the other women, to stay quite, a cook, a thief when it was necessary, etc., but she chose her own way, tracking O'Driscoll down, and she became one of the best Arthur's assistant with Jonh and Charles and a useful shooter/fighter in the gang.
At the end, when she got her revenge, she decided to stay with the gang helping Arthur and the Marstons even if she could leave, more loyal than others.
That's because "it's not Lady, it's Sadie!". That's because a lot of players loved her.

Or more simple: people like when a badass female character is played by gorgeous actress with a great voice and expressiveness. This is a good reason too...

I hope they will add a DLC stand alone with Sadie as main character adding Mexico from the prequel, so we could get the full map on RDRO.

there is alot going on with sadie that you might have missed.
if you stay at camp sometimes you can see some interesting things going on. conversations between people. some missions where she opens up and explains. she is just a well written character with dept.

Because her character is well written, she is badass but she is not Mary Sue she also have weakness and she is hot too summary my type of girls :)
she crazy, and wants revenge on the people that killed her husband
two reasons that match a psycho
xD
I like her, she has a strong character and a bit of a wild card but her heart is in the right place, took me 3 play troughs to notice she still wears her wedding ring what made me like her even more, poor Jake Adler.
O'Driscoll = kos for me, specially after Kieran.

Because not everybody is you.
...How much sugarcoating must I put into every single word of my speech to prevent the snark-sharks from eating me?

This. This may very well be why I missed most of the character development. I usually didn't spend too much time at the camp to avoid being scolded by Dutch or the others to "work harder" and "donate more moneh."

Shes the single reason I havent replayed RDR2. Her voice alone makes me wanna Alt+F4 the game. Apart from that, shes laughably overwritten as a character. A real shame as she had potential but in the current state every other female gang member is more badass than her.

She kills 10x more people than all the other women put together, and that's in one day.
