You mention role models but they're all thieves and murderers, nobody is really a role model in the game besides perhaps Tilly or Charles.
Can you better explain how she evolved? All I noticed is she was a grieving widow in Chapter 1 and 2 that almost spontaneously because a mass murderer near Rhodes.
I didn't notice any further development after Rhodes, but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. Maybe there's something I missed.
Well like you said she was a grieving widow so she was withdrawn, distrustful and mentally weakened and over time that changes and she starts to open up to the rest of the gang and show her personality, she's actually very humorous and laid back. She's only on defence because she lost everything she had and probably was scared to get attached to anyone initially because she was scared of it happening again, I just think the fact that she said Arthur was the most amazing man she's met after her husband says a lot, but maybe that's just on Arthur because he just has that effect on people lol. I think she genuinely cared about the gang, though they rescued her she could've left at any time but she didn't. She is very stubborn and brash in her revenge state but she did go through a traumatic experience, the whole gang can be pretty stubborn and brash when they want to aswell tbh, that's why they fit together.
Her evolution is basically that she buys a bright yellow cowgirl outfit in Rhodes. Then later she becomes a bounty hunter.
I hated Molly. I was so happy with her outcome. I was cheering.
Lol I think we ALL forgot about Molly, including the gang, that's why she flew off the handle lol. All she ever did was just stare into that stupid mirror anyways, she was too vain.
People tend to enjoy multi-faceted characters with both good and bad aspects a LOT more than flat messiah/satan dichtonomies.
Just look at Batman vs Superman, popularity wise.
Batman is far more popular, because he not only has flaws, but they effect him and CAUSE conflict on a regular basis. As opposed to Superman, who in most the mainline stories is the all-powerful boy scout who never has a truly malicious thought.
Most people tend to enjoy characters that are more human, with more depth to them. That's part of where Rockstar's storytelling gets it's momentum. It's in the characters being more than a one-off onedimensional excuse for a mission, or a talking quest board.
Because not everybody is you.
