Just did the mission in the Epilogue where you built the house, after that i had the cowboy outfit, wanted to change it on the chest and noticed that i cant select anything, i thought it might be mission related but after the barn mission still everything is gone.
And with everything i mean EVERYTHING , including lantern and knife
I have Johns revolver, and the italian sniper rifle, they got autoequipped after i died but everything else is gone, i cant even skin animals

I not know what happening to you but you not says if is in the story or online mode.

He said Johns revolver, so he means story mode. Sounds like a bug.
Got an earlier save you can go back to? Hope so.

in the end i just pulled through the story but it was very annoying and made exploring the rest of the world impossible
i also had my gear when i repeated a mission. but it disappeared after again.
I thought i might be able to equip it at the locker but i never got the option and when i checked the stores i owned none of the guns, i have the feeling the game reseted Johns guns to his stock items of the main game

Ahh could be. I was gonna suggest renting a hotel room and check the locker there.

It's been a while since I played through the epilogue, so I really can't remember everything.
All I can think of is if you haven't done all the missions with Sadie yet, just keep pluggin along till you do.
In the end you should be more than fine.
Still, don't recall losing absolutely everything, though.

this exact bug happened to me after a bug made me fail the house building mission. uncle caught fire and so i laughed but it came back to bite me because now i have literally nothing left. If you dont believe me

Its unfixable afaik reload is the only option

just had it happen to me and it autosaved after the mission so i cant reload to before the bug. now i have no inventory items at all. horse, satchel, weapons, tools, everything you can use and carry is just gone. is there no other way to get it back.

This is why you make manual saves.

A hard lesson I learned the first time my horse died - that's not going to happen again... nor is a bug like this 'cause a manual save isn't very far back. There's one before I try something risky and after. There's a manual save before a Story, or Stranger Mission - and after.

I have options.

Autosave doesn't offer any options.

I had something similar happen when I was testing editing (singleplayer) mod files, I had wanted to change a few values but accidentally forgot to close a bracket so the whole file seemed to have failed, when I loaded in I had nothing in my inventory at all, and all my guns were gone.

Fixing the mistake I made in the file (i think it was the catalog file) restored all the equipment in my saves.

I'm not sure if this is relevant to your issue, but that's the only time I have had it happen to me.

reload before the problem occured, i bit down and played through the rest of it but willl destroy your experience
