honor not rising

i dont know if im doing it wrong, or if my game is bugged, but my honor meter is just not rising, its stuck in the halfway mark or slightly behind it, just now i donated a gold bar worth 300 bucks to the camp and the meter did nothing, it didnt rise or go down, is this beacuse im in chapter 3? (sorry if i mispselled something, english is my second language)

Talk to people in St. Denis Market where the Trapper is, and throw back fish while your fishing are 2 good ways to increase your honor. Chapter shouldn't make a difference.

the problem isnt that its not rising fast the problem is that its not rising at all, for example, when you greet 3 people you get 0.5 honor, and i did this like 5 times, which means the chagne should be noticable but it just doesnt rise, the icon that it rose shows, but there is no noticable difference, thanks anyways, i have to go to bed now, bye for now.

You may have hit the hard limit (you cannot max/min your honour until a later point, not sure which chapter it is)

yeh i seen this too. i believe if you play as a angel the entire time, ie every +honour opportunity you take, no thieving, no murder, no horse kills, and not make -honour decisions your honour will rise slowly till the late game, will it will sky rock to maximum.
However play -honour it will stay rock bottom no matter many nice things you do towards the end.
I would say decide how you want to play earlier on. this is not a bug. this is redemption.

You can be (at least) 75% towards high honor in Chapter 3.

Look for the "+<symbol>" to show up in white in upper right after doing something showing loyalty or honor.

Moving Grain Sacks or Hay Bails in Camp is an easy test, or Fishing and releasing your catch is another easy method.

The marker moves very slowly, and it takes some dedicated work - and i don't think camp donations count for much at all (and certainly not scaled to the size of donation).

Only contribute $20 at a time to the camp. You get the same Honor boost if you give $20 or $1,000 per time. Less than $20 is no honor at all.

Also be aware that until Chapter 6 honor is locked at like 75% or so. You cannot max honor before Chapter 6.

I also felt this, but once i passed chapter 6, my honor raised so fast with just talking with ppl
So its just the chapter that limits you how you get the honor.

Pet your horse Feed your horse Love your horse any chance you get your honor goes up. Shoot lawmen and it goes down. Easiest way I have found and I have the buckle to show for it.

hey sorry for not responding i kinda forgot about this and when i remembered i was like, "i'll check later" knowing ill forget, so anyways a strange thing just happened, last time i played the game the honor meter didnt budge but just now when i launched the game it rose up, i so i thought that honor is registered only after restarting the game, but then i realised that thats retarded, so the other option is that my game is bugged in someway.

hey again, so my game stopped responding and i had to restart it, and guess what? as soon as i loaded in the honor meter rose, but when i do honorable stuff again (yes with the white plus symbol) the meter stays the same
