Glad you found a solution and got pass the mission, can be very frustration getting stuck on progress.
go to steam library, then right click and go to properties
and then go to local data check your game for errors (middle one)
Game runs on a SSD and like I said pc is new and runs every new game just fine. Vram usage is okay I get around 90 fps on ultra.
I noticed tho that I get further into cutscences if I let the game idle a bit before starting it before the crash happens. Maybe u can let the game run 5 mins while cooking coffee or something and try again? Idk why that is an issue tho.
on my linux boot (same pc) it crashes only the game and gives me an GFX err message, which again leads to a bad graphics handling between the game and the graphics drivers.
i prefer to play this on linux since on windows the whole system crashes and it feels like it's not healthy for the pc, where as on linux the whole system still seems healthy after the crash.
but there is no doubt that this is an issue within the game it self and the way it handles graphics and runs with drivers.
this issue will persist untill rockstar fixes it, which i think might not actually ever happen, at least i've never heard of such a thing unless the issue is happening for EVERYONE, which in this case it dosnt.
