Is it worth skipping trade for moonshine business?

So i saw that moonshine is locked for me and it wants 5g to skip trader and unlock it, but it also said i will need more gold to set up moonshine business. How much gold do i need overall? Is it also worth it? Should i skip it and get Moonshine or should i go into trade role and then moonshine?

EDIT: Do people bother you while delivering some things to a buyer etc? Long distance delivery or short distance? The payout? any useful info is welcomed.

Another edit: is it possible to.. well block your ports and do long distance delivery in solo lobby?

trader is the easiest to start , just do short deliveries , dont bother with the hunting wagon unless it's on sale , do get a stew pot ,
the amount of money verses the cost of making the long distance deliveries isnt worth it , just do the short ones

Wait till tomorrow as there will be a new event week and it might have moonshine/trader gold discount.
Since you are on pc the biggest issue with sales is cheaters(still quite rare), if anything happens you can alt+f4 or switch session and all your stuff will be back at camp/moonshine shack.
Long distance sales are not really worth it as they are "really" long distance sales but its up to you.
Main reason for these roles is that they expand your inventory capacity, I think trader is better in that.
Yes you can block ports for solo sessions.

I do both when im not running shine i hunt for cripps i max out cripps and deliver for $500 m thats with the large delivery wagon , time consuming but hey thats what the game was designed to do , REALISM

Do both at the same time. Do all the roles at the same time. Level them all to max to get various perks.
Like if you're waiting for moonshine to produce after flavoring do some hunting then back to deliver the moonshine. etc.

Yeah, but i dont really have that much gold in my pockets rn. Few days ago i purchased bounty hunter license and just after few days of few hour playing im at like 12 gold bars. Trader probably needs 15 golds as well and moonshine apparantely 25 + 5 if i would want to skip trader role.

Dont think you can skip trader, you need trader to unlock moonshine..or atleast thats how it was when i bought the roles.

if you can buy to skip it, then by all means do so if you want to. both roles are fun in each thir way.

If you doing Dailys to gain gold, them collector is allways the fastes for me to do, allso when ride all over map you meet alot of stranger,hideouts and roadblocks.

If you have and forgot, then use treasuremaps you have, they avg give me about 100RDO$ +1goldbar. with Collector role you will gain exp at a insane amount and level up faster = more treasuremaps.

Trader gives the biggest return, you're looking at $625 for a long distance haul.
Best thing to do is combine moonshine with trader. Hunt Buffalo in great plains until your trader is full, then go and run your moonshine. Moonshine only takes about 45 minutes while trade takes a few hours

Moonshine is completly locked for me. If i choose to pay 5 gold bars to unlock it and skip trader role i can apparantely run moonshine without having to do anything in trader.

Spam the treasure maps you getting then imo get collector and get massive exp = lvl up = treasure maps = gold= happy outlaw.

All the times i ran trader i can count on one hand the times i been attacked by other players. ( it is very rare in my expeince )

You are correct, there should be a rotation on sales tomorrow, so thats a good idear to wait.

Might give some insight in what you can expect from the roles, and help you pick.

I just want to add, with collectors you can "save up exp" in form of full sets.
I keep +3 set of each collectble set for when updates with new passes come out then turn in the set for exp,
this way i will level up my pass in 5 mins, and not have to worries about the bugs ( that deffently will come ) wil stop me from finish the pass.
