Try deleting SGA files in documents>r* games>rdr2>settings. Also could try changing API in graphics settings.

Not the same error but I'm getting ERR_GFX_D3D_DEFERRED_MEM errors every single time I try to launch RDR2 with DX12. I can launch it with ReBar disabled, but it worked before with it enabled, and I'm not sure what changed. I've updated my drivers (MSI RTX 3080) and still having the same errors.

I havent really played the game for a long time with changed API, But do it. Change from DX12 To Vulkan, might help

I have EVGA 3080 and 5800x, had that error when I first played about a week ago after installing newest Reshade (DX12). After deleting the DX12 sga files (the 3 starting with with sga_win32), uninstalling Reshade and finding a different Reshade preset with the install included (RDR2 Visual Overhaul) I haven't had that error anymore at all. Not sure if it was the sga files or Reshade causing the issue, or maybe something else.
Edit: I also deleted DirectX shader cache in Disk Cleanup. Not sure if that helps

My game is mostly fine, but lately always crashes when I buy a few items or more in a store. Specifically every time I try to paint a couple parts on my weapon I crash after applying the first color with ERR_GFX_STATE error.
MSI meg x570 ace
AMD 5800x
EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra
16GB ram
Win11 Pro
DX12
Deleting sga files hasn't helped this issue.
Edit: Disabled all mods, can now paint gun and continue to browse menu without crashing. Not sure what could have caused it since I don't have any mods changing anything shop-related (already tested gun metal rework on and off, still crashes). Might try enabling mods one by one.
Edit2: Fixed the ERR_GFX_STATE crash on weapon painting, I noticed dxgi.log from Reshade said

Uninstalled Reshade, booted, no issue. Reinstalled the same Reshade preset (RDR2 visual overhaul) and all is good now.

I had this everytime I tried launching with msi afterburner running. Apparent the game doesn't like OSDs running in some cases.

my game crashes after a moment since I update the GTX driver....I think it's something wrong with the driver...

You could be right, After the new NVIDIA Drivers my gpu has been bugging out quite well.

The issue is solved (perhaps, not crash for at least 2 hrs)after I rollback the GPU driver to version 471.96.u can have a try,old version driver can be downloaded on Nvidia official site :)

I had the same problem.

Can turn OSD off in RTSS and still keep afterburner open so any fan or overclock profiles still apply.

repply your thermal paste. this issue is caused by your gpu shutting itself down and reaching a certain heat threshold. no amount of driver changes, file changes, or settings changes will fix this. I had this issue for a full year and replacing my paste fixed every single on of my games and i have no crashes now,
