I am doing that all the time. Doesn't change much.
I try, must be a lot then to fill it up.
It's a really, really annoying process where you have to randomly find or buy particular items that do different combinations of things, and if you can ideally get to a store that has these things (and you have the cash) you have to read through an annoying number of items with annoying names that don't describe what it does, find the description and read through that.
if ANYTING happens while you're with your horse, it's likely that you'll have to feed you and your horse again. it's boring. it's annoying. you can run out of money and waste a ridiculous amount of time on these TheSims-like tasks.
Curious why rockstar never updated this game. someone said that this game was a testing grounds for gta 6, and that's why
The game is completely irritating to play, see here https://steamcommunity.com/app/1174180/discussions/0/2992045158729674858/?tscn=1611015164
also, there is a trainer that allows you to speed up time up to 10x and you can put infinite cores on, or just use it to refill them. trust me, the game wastes your time a lot, and you should have that trainer handy. you're even going to run into scenarios where the game tries way, WAY too hard to immerse you and it gives you a one time message with a plethora of controls that don't seem to work outside of what you're doing - if it gives you the controls at all. and you can die when it pulls this crap and have to restart the whole annoying experience.
this game is really irritating to play, and i refunded my copy
lmao specific foods only boost the stat or refill stamina without the core when you buy hay or carrots in the store it tells you whhat it refills and hay or carrots are usually the best for the horse although in online the cores seem to just run out all the time for me if youre online you can buy everything without going to a store in the catalogue which i dont know what button to push because i normally play on ps4 however when you do that you can collect the items from camp or a post office/trainstation but only in online, similarly in single player most stores have the catalogue open to view and buy right there however im not sure if its limited to general goods and clothes at the general store or not
But I did all of this. I bought EVERY item in the horseshop, used it all but my cores are never 100% full. I treat my horse well, pat it sometimes and so on.
Like, I don't have a problem to take care of the horse, for me it's part of the game really, but it would be cool if there would also be some kind of " impact " when doing so and I actually see a decent change.
What do you mean by trainer? Like as in a person in-game or some application?
PS: It's a little annoying but it's definitely not a game ruining matter really as the horse still does what I want it to do.
Do a search for it.
Not sure if youre referring to cores as the circle around the icon or the icon itself, because some horses have a really low stamina stat that will never improve so the circle will never be a full circle and will run out super fast and eating/feeding things won't do a whole lot to make the circle larger or more full if its only got a quarter circle of stamina. The core is the center icon that drains and turns red like the lightning bolt inside the circle is the core if that ones grayed out or red its empty if its pure white its full. Feeding the horse should fill that bar, using a horse stimulant when the circle is running low fills it beyond max capacity for a short time.
Sorry if you already knew this im not assuming you don't just threw me off with what you said here so im further explaining!
I dont believe downloading a mod menu for rdr2 is a good idea unless you've beat the game and want to mess around. You can be banned from online if you use it there, if you have more fun using one then sure but I see the game has a higher value without it for a first time playthrough.
Makes sense.
I was more thinking about the circles around the cores really. The insides I can fill earlier or later.
But man, this means some horses have some real low stamina..
