Game keeps crashing at the Blessed are the Peacemakers mission in Chapter 3
I've retried this mission for maybe the 10th time and my game keeps crashing at different points always when a cut scene ends.

The earliest crash is when Arthur gets hit from behind and is knocked out while Micah and Dutch are talking to Colm. Then when I retry the mission it sometimes gets passed it but crashes to one of the next few cut scenes after that and it seems that there's nothing I can do about it.

The game ran perfectly up until this point (aside from the random glitches). One reason I can think of is that I did a windows update today and it might have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something, but then again I did a bunch of other missions after the update and it was before the crash started happening.

I'm basically stuck and can't progress the story because of this.

That sucks, a long shot but maybe drop your graphics settings to minimum for that mission, maybe the game is struggling to load in the new area and running out of memory? Again a long shot but I suppose it’s worth a go.

Maybe load an earlier save before that mission, replay a mission before it to see if you can pass it, then try the mission again?

Nvm I loaded a save from a while ago and played for around 30 minutes with no crashes. Then I loaded my current save, retried the mission and no more crashes.

In conclusion, I still have no idea what caused the continuous crashing in that mission. RDR2 is poorly optimised and there are some bugs, but I can't help but love the game so much despite the performance problems.

Use OpenGL instead on Directx. Fixed all of my GFX Error issues. Directx is a dumpster fire that we are forced to use against our will
