Time and weather passes too fast
The time and the weather cycle is so fast... like it feels so weird.
What do I do and how to fix it?

I find the weather to be weird too. There are times where I'm traveling into an area and some fog will roll in slowly and build up and then after about ten seconds it will just clear up. I don't have an issue with the time, but the weather feels too finicky and inconsistent.

True, for me.. The rain lasts only for like 2 minutes. Come on I want to enjoy the lightning and thunder... but the game just seems boring now.

The 'Dynamic' clouds are a joke? It feels like they are disappearing and forming in no time. the shadows move too fast due to that.

And the rain in my game lasts for an eternity, yesterday, I played the game for about 160 mins, out of that 50 mins was just thunder storm, lightning and heavy rain

There's an increase time length mod on nexusmods

I objected to the fast time at first but now I realize that it is part of the remarkable way RS has created a world that is small and yet feels large. When you travel, you can cover lots of ground, going from one end of the game world to the other in about 15 mins real time. The fast moving game time helps to make up for that

Yeah in essence you can travel from Appalachia/West Virginia Coal Country (Annesburg) to the Deep South to the Rocky Mountains and the Wild West and even Mexico in under 15 minutes

Make no mistake, the game world is vast and huge, traversing it from one side to the other means relatively nothing since you're talking about on horseback, going at a gallop speed. In comparison, it takes roughly 10 minutes to drive completely around the entire GTA5 map. I reckon it would take 6 minutes or less just to drive from one end to the other.

I read the same article that you're referring to and they didn't ride through each territory either, they simply rode from one end of the map to the other end.
