Your concern is so specific that it makes me wonder why you are angry about it. What problem do you have exactly, that a group of mostly white guys befriends a small group of indigenous americans? Or is it the fighting the army part? Lots of white americans fought against the union army, lots of indigenous peoples fought against the US army... So what is so far fetched really? Why the outrage here, and here alone?
Im not angry xd I just ask question to others if they dont feel off with those kinds of setup that are in RDR2.
It is obvious that rather Americans murderred all Indians and by Americans I mean cowboys and army toghether.
This is quite unexpected rewriting history in game.
Reference the history books that you have read.

I insist of one thing my friend, follow the plot.
Apparently the issue is either it is unrealistic that anyone helps the indigenous folks in the game, it would be more true to history for them to be mistreated by everyone, and it comes across as a bit "whitewashey" that your gang of outlaws is helpful.

Or that it is unrealistic that the gang helps them and he'd prefer that you had missions to try and wipe them out rather than help them.

The former is substantially more understandable than the latter, but still it's like, a contemporary work of fiction based on fictional characters, cmon man.
I am not that far along in the storyline yet, but from what I gather, Butch is just using them and their plight to create a diversion anyway? So he kind of is screwing them over for his own ends.

So, it fulfils both at the same time? I'd say that was fairly accurate really.

I mean, if you have followed the story, you should know why.. They all hate what civilization and America stands for.

Also, I think Arthur sees him self having more in common with Indian than soldiers.

The game was inspired by late western American. The word inspired implied that R* use the same settings and they doesn't need to keep it 100% history accurate, and I'm glad that Arthur kills those soldiers. Why? Because those soldiers are horrible person not like the one Arthur saved.
You're talking about a Rockstar game mind you.
Thats why I said 'they doesn't need to keep it 100% history accurate'.

More importantly, why are the US Soldiers armed with Winchester Rifles and not Krag-Jorgenssens like they should be for the time period? ;)
Because they are time travelers... I mean outlaw? Big Indian lovers. Enemy of the good American solder!

Just give me gps location of grave of this scumbag Arthur Morgan I want to pee there.

The Winchester is an *older* rifle. For one concerned with history, you don't seem to be very aware of it ;)

Basically Rockstar gave the US Soldiers the "Lancaster" rather than the Bolt-Action. Not sure why.

Francisco "Pancho" Villa was a Mexican revolutionary general and one of the most prominent figures of the Mexican Revolution. As commander of the División del Norte, 'Division of the North', in the Constitutionalist Army, he was a military-landowner of the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua.

He was also an outlaw that crossed the border and attacked the US, hence my mentioning him. You wanted an example of someone that attacked US soldiers during this time period. There you go.

Also despite being repeatedly corrected, you keep saying "Cowboy". Arthur isn't a Cowboy.

(Sorry for the slight necro, but, was just checking my post history, and it seems an overly zealous moderator deleted this post of mine despite there being nothing wrong with it. So, my reply to Gatto Nero about US Soldiers and Pancho Villa was lost for no reason at all, hence the repost.)
ok - for me whole script for this game is pile of steaming ... you can like it its up to your preference all subjective - propably this topic should be closed because there is no sense to argue about who like what

And so what? Civilians kill is normal, but professionals who choose their own destiny willingly to kill and be killed it's noncense?
Because "civilization" is an oxymoron?

The indians are the native people of the USA they got killed by the people from europe (the citizens of the usa today). Sometimes its good to put down the rainbow glasses and look at history as it was.
You suggest there were cowboys that killed American troops with indians?

Have you even actually played this game? Arthur is NOT a cowboy lol. Arthur is an outlaw.
