How to go max speed on horse with Xbox Controller without mashing X/A?

On Keyboard and Mouse one can achieve full speed by just holding shift, so why does there seem to be no option to allow controllers to do the same? My Xbox Controller's A button is worn almost completely and sometimes holding it down won't do it anymore.

I would understand if this was an older game, or if everyone had to do it, but it just seems unfair/stupid that I have ruin my controller to play the game. Any fixes / macros or something I can use?

gently press the buttons, that way it doesn't get ruined. don't mash, that kind of attitude is reserved for potatoes
