I went for the longest time trying to be a coolguy with no ability cards at all, but when I realised there were secondary pages for passives I gave in and started trying them out. I love the give and take nature of Strange Medicine and Never Without One, but I also took Iron Lung to compensate a little, so far it is a pretty sweet setup for my liking.
fool me once, kick in the butt, strange medicine, quite an inspiration
dmg reduction, dead eye regen, heals for dmg, heals from dead eye
I run with no hud so hp is priority, if i'm alive i can shoot. I'm aware the first two probably dont gel that well but it works for me!
Interesting, but it still leaves the question, is Iron Lung's damage reduction based on the outer ring of stamina or the core, or both? It is hard to tell in game.
Thanks for sharing though, lots of good info there, presuming that the link didn't infect my PC with something lol ;)
Fool me once was one thing I wanted to try out, the reason I didn't pick it first was that it isn't usually the repeated hits that are the biggest worry (though clearly it is a good passive just in general), it is getting oneshot by a headshot or a shotgun blast etc that I wanted to avoid. Stacking Fool me once with Iron Lung or the Sprinting or Melee based ones would definitely be interesting to see.
Cheers for sharing.
Yeah I am thinking I will change out Never Without One at some point, mostly just testing it at the moment, Fool Me Once apparently has the biggest damage reduction potential by a wide margin, so I'll probably give that a try at some point too.
I love me throwing knives, wish I could make small game ones too.
It's not quite that, but I made a suggestion about including a whip weapon, as I felt that is sorely lacking from the game, as a semi ranged melee weapon.
