Is there still no way to turn off Vignette?
I stopped playing the game like 2 years ago, but the news of DLSS coming is making me want to return, but I remember one thing really bothering me: the really strong vignette effect that ruines the image, even worse in First-person.

Did anyone manage to find a way to disable it, yet?

There's a vignette? In the normal game during normal gameplay?

Never seen it. Does this mean I will now see it and never be able to "unsee" it? Is my RDR2 career over?! Why oh why do you do this to me?

Seriously, I have never seen a vignette, except maybe in Photo Mode or during loading screens.

Being blind has it's perks, I guess.

Do you mean the cutscene-like action that happens every mission, to explain the mission goals, or act as a "fast-travel" filler ?

I have not noticed any graphics changes when switching into and out-of these scenes, but since they are very prevalent the game would be unknowable without them.

Perhaps you could help us understand your issue better, or perhaps criticize folks trying to help you ?

1. A quick google search would give you a million examples of what Vignette is, both inside and outside of the gaming world.

2. Making a half-satiricial, half-serious comment about not seeing VIgnette is not help.

3. Asking to describe you what this very well known CiNeMaTiC "graphics" effect is even though you could have looked it up in the same amount of time it took you to make your useless comment isn't help either.

4. Vignette in RDR2 is present at all times, both during cutscenes and gameplay

I do know that you can control vignette effect through your graphic card. Since mine is turned off I have 0 vignette effects.

Here is what I see. Tell me if you can see any vignette.

I've never noticed any vignette.
Either it's really minor and has a gradient fade or you have it turned on in graphics settings.

You're a piece of garbage. A quick google search did not help my drunk-ass figure out what the ♥♥♥♥ a vignette is.

EDIT: In fact, that left me more confused. I blame the Fosters. What is your issue?

A vignette is a dark ring around an image. Like if you use a lens that is too small for your camera's sensor or film the image projected will have a vignette.
It can also be used to make photographs look more better if used correctly in post-processing.
Link to a white background with a gradient vignette:

Aha, that's why I don't see it. I disable all that crap by default, universally, without restriction.

There are also (by using 'google' — *gasp!*) some Reshades that remove it (significantly reduce it).

So there, OP: you have two viable options for your issue.

Well, yeah, but I didn't go there though. :-P

so, ur response to me asking you to describe ur issue is "go look it up" ? really ? OMG - u r such a waste of my time, lol - (just thought i'd spend my time letting u know).

A "vignette" is simply a "short episode" most often encountered as a simple, informative, short movie or graphic.

If ur talking about graphic effects - well, i don't see any of those, and never have - so, it's likely ur settings or some other odd thing. GL

In graphical parlance it refers to that blurred usually darkened effect around visuals to give it an older look, stylized to resemble the effects of small shrouded lenses in "old times".

Just remember you can only play story mode with mods. If you enter online you will get a ban for 30 days and everything removed. So be care full and remove the mod when you want to play online.
