Packs of wolves are tough because they attack you from behind and stagger you while you try to get a bead on one. Try scrambling up the nearest rock if you find yourself in the middle of one.
Auto-functions are increasingly common in games these days and they never really work right. It's especially frustrating because there's a manual function for holstering your weapons. The wolves wouldn't have been any different with your shotgun, though.
Well yes they are different. ive had these encounters before and a semi with slugs works wonders against them. but this time thanks to mr autofunction i didnt.
Thanks for the reply though :D
the part that really bothers me is when the game auto-equips weapons that i would prefer Not to use for a specific mission - even changing my weapon selection as the mission starts. It will even auto-equip weapons that i have put in my weapons locker for the specific reason to prevent them from being available.
Yet another example of immature game developers believing they know better than the player. Umm... it's my game - let me play how i want, or i will post in discussion groups how stupid your game is...
There's a mission early on where they give you a rolling block and if you try to hold the weapon down at your side as you approach the overlook it keeps bringing it back up to two hands. It's a cool game but man it's heavy handed. As soon as you think it can't make you walk any slower just give it a minute and it'll prove you wrong.
