Is there any way to toggle run on keyboard like you can on gamepad?
My pinky hurts, I like to play "shooting games" on KB+M. I see in the controller settings you can toggle run but not for keyboard, any help really appreciated.

Tap shift for half run, it’s all we got

There is an option so you don't have to hold L Shift:

In game, go to Settings -> Controls -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Tap & Hold Speed Control, there are 2 options, On Foot and Mount/Vehicle.

If you turn these to On, you wont have to hold Shift, but simply double or triple click depending on whether you want to run or sprint (read the description when you click the option, and try it out in game to see what i mean). It also works for horseback/vehicle riding, though in some vehicles you will still need to press L Shift to go faster.

Is there a way to do this for the horse on controller so I don't have to spam tapping A?

I don't use a controller, but based on the options under the Accessibility menu of the Controller settings, I don't think there is a similar option.

No, that is exactly what it is

I tried it last night. it was a bit confusing to use at first but it's better just holding W than W and L Shift. I guess they want us to use the cinematic camera more but to me I wanted auto run for around the camp and in towns etc, oh well still enjoying myself a lot playing this game.

It works well if you playing in 1st person as in the camera mode your character sprints everywhere

How do you go 1st person? I didn't know that was a thing
KroniKx187 Mar 25, 2021 @ 7:24am
Tap V, that changes the view, so default is medium 3rd person distance, one click is at max zoom out 3rd person distance, 2nd click is 1st person view and 3rd click is closest 3rd person view... and so on and so forth.

3rd person has the best animations, like equipping weapons from horse, etc, so you lose out on that in 1st person, but you see things in so much more detail in 1st person, little things that you'll miss in 3rd person.

I was using c to cycle the camera in cinematic mode, that's what confused me. Thx again

Am I right to assume that this doesn't allow for the 'slow walk' that is possible with an analog controller?
