HACKERS keep killing me with explosions

Every time i log in and play for a while i randomly start getting killed over and over by explosions and ♥♥♥♥.... So ♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying can I do anything about it???

I had that now twice in as many weeks, I just change session, today the moron locked me in place, couldn't move. Changed session and no more issue.

yea they can get your ip with the hack program these cheats use and when ever they log in they will harass you when ever your online at the time they log in and also once they have your ip address they can follow you from server to server or even ddos you your home pc ,,,,,,for a little protection from these annoying cheats is to go into steam settings then go to in-game at the bottom you will see steam networking set this option too never also read the learn more option,the only other option of hiding you ip address is VPN if any of them are good i tried 1 and it was absolute rubbish

That nonsense aside, only R* can fix their mess and they have no intention of doing that. Exactly the base code same trainers used in GTA Online with scripthook, work in RDO.
They have your money, so they don't care beyond that.

Best advice i can give is don't play Rockstars online games, only single player.

just hit ESC > Online and select a new session. Its much easier, you just leave them behind and they cant follow. No use spitting into the wind.

It's more likely they're exploiting the invite a friend system somehow based on what that guy was describing. Knowing R*, I wouldn't be surprised. It'd be even worse too, they'd only need your social account name rather than an unreliable string of numbers. They'd probably know when you're online too, and it would explain why they can pull you in from a single player game as well.

All hypothetical, I've played GTAO enough to know that this online isn't worth it.

They have your IP. R* chose to make the game peer-to-peer instead of server-based, so everyone playing can get your IP address, unless you're using a VPN.

same thing happened to me today! i was just playing regularly, someone kept exploding me and even locked my character in place too. the only thing that kept me from being exploded was petting my dog at camp, and wading deep in the water (explosions would still happen, but they wouldn't hurt me at all). other than that, you just gotta change servers :(

Thought I'd give Red Dead Online a try with a friend. 10 minutes in, we both kept getting blown up by the same player and kept getting tagged with a 5c bounty, despite all we did was stand around the starting campfire for a bit.

For clarification, there was no player attack or anything; this was just sudden explosions that seemed to drop from the sky

i had one time the hacker some how was able to teleport every single player in the middle of the ocean.

Yeah. I can't really play. I just started a few days ago and today alone I had to just up and leave a server 4 different times because someone started randomly exploding me and since I am collecting a ton of pelts it comes to a situation where I have to drop all my perfect pelts I farmed and just leave.
