I have the same question. Running the game on a RTX 3070 and everything looks gorgeous and runs at a steady FPS, but the hair thing is downright ugly. Would appreciate help as I know nothing about fine tuning graphics settings.

I'm not saying I have any help to offer, but it might help if you include a screenshot of the problem.

I will try next time I have the opportunity to play. For some reason I have trouble taking screenshots in Steam.

I believe this is a DLSS issue. Disable DLSS and the issue should be resolved. The DLSS implementation in this game is very very poor.

Will try that. Hopefully they will optimize DLSS over time.

Yeah, DLSS doesn't upscale certain transparency effects in this game, such as hair on people and horses. So they end up looking low-res because everything starts at a lower res before DLSS does its work to upscale it. You can solve the issue by increasing your DLSS quality setting and/or rendering resolution (such as using NVIDIA DSR to render higher scale than your monitor size).

When I made the screenshots I noticed that they were in a higher resolution than my monitor and couldn't understand why. Wasn't aware of DSR being automatic in Geforce, so that factor didn't help. I also had DLSS on quality setting, so that can't improve either.
