Windows may have set the mic to other than the one the game uses.
I have a VR device, Windows will reset to Rift audio after an update.

I think it does help. I'm trying to figure out a solution resulting in me being able to have push to talk for in game and voice activated for discord, but I see what your saying. A temporary solution I might try, based on what you're saying, is to use 2 different push to talk buttons for discord and rdr2. Maybe N for discord and K for rdo.
