81-85c GPU temp??
Hi everyone, does RDR2 heat up gpu's? I have a 2060 KO well ventilated, cleaned, dust free and my PC is infront of a window with a breeze that commonly blows through yet my GPU still gets up to 85c and thats not having yet played over 30 minutes or a couple hours straight. I set all my settings down to medium and it seemd to help a tad bit but anyone else experiencing issue? I have AC odyssey on high/ultra and doesnt get nearly as high a temp.

No

85 c ? then your paste is done or you have OC´ that card to hard .. 60-65 celcius is normal at 2k graphics @144fps in ultra settings

Im running 60 fps on 1080p. This is troubling news indeed

Im going to try downloading a different gpu temperature program and see what it says. Thank you MAXE

just make the fan curve more aggressive, set it so you're at 90% fan speed by 75 degrees,
it's summer ambient temps are up

Ive decided to add new thermal paste. Wish me luck gentlemen. *on a off topic sidenot*This is why I switched to console so many years ago.. theres something always popping up with pc, but returned. But I love it XD

I have i9 + RTX2080 with brand new Grizzly Hydronaut on top....

I get around 72-78°C with medium to high settings [ 1920x1080 @144 Hz ] .

just keep an eye on it. does it peak sometimes to 85 but stays mostly around 80 C
not a big problem for summer. these new videocards can run up to 93C before they throttle.
mine gets to 78,79 C in summer. but i might live in a colder place then you.
It's summer so aircooled PCs tend to run hotter than usual. But, anything above 80 degrees will shorten the GPU's lifespan in the long run. Try setting up a more aggressive cooling profile for your GPU fans when in game, it's gonna decrease the temps upto 6-7 degrees, granted the airflow is good enough.

set your man curve to 84 percent or even 100 that will solve it

85C is high especially that Nvidia GPUs have temp limit on 83C anyway you can reduce temp by improving air flow in your PC case, setting more agressive fan curve or sacriface performance and lower power limit. I have Palit GTX 1060 6 GB Super Jetstream and my temp is max 65C during cold days when i have 19C in my room and now its 70-71C when i have sometimes 30C in my room.

Yea, It's only with RDR2 that it hits mid 80c. I just finished playing Batman:A.A and it stayed in the 50c range for the entire time I played. Hour or so, but it is a 10 year old game. Im going to replace the paste, .. I should've done it already but im nervous. The airflow and case are fine in my pc.

Not normal at all. It all depends on what card you have / cooler. Also what airflow you have.
