I'm afraid you're pretty much wrong on both of your main points. The single player is worth getting, especially at sale price, and I'm quite sure that the AI isn't broken, that's exactly how Rockstar want it to be. The game forces, or tries to force you down the outlaw path. Also, from the depressing, deluded nonsense that my Arthur says to the girls in camp with ?'s, it seems fairly obvious to me that Arthur is supposed to be mentally subnormal and homicidal to boot. If that's the case, then it kinda fits the picture eh?
And yes, I said objectively. This game, this story, is quite simply amazing. The critics, the gamers, the awards shows, we all agree. Obnoxious MP fanatics like OP and Doomer tell everyone MP is fine when it's clearly toxic and broken. The tragedy of Arthur Morgan and the Van Der Linde Gang is well worth the price of this game.
I mean, come on. They sell MP for $5 just to flood it with Fortnite wannabes. That's why SP is so much better
Setting aside that the videos are obviously tongue-in-cheek, I can say that I have intentionally and accidentally committed crimes in game that have gone unseen. The AI doesn't make it mandatory that you are seen... there's just a fair amount of traffic along several of the trails.
As to the other point the video raises: it's fair. I do wish that the game followed the old west "rules" of self defense. I shouldn't be punished for shooting a guy that shoots at me first. Having said that, it's entirely possible that, as a known trouble-maker, I'm not going to get the benefit of the doubt from witnesses... and some of them may even by biased against me.
My solution to the second point is to not intervene in petty brawls so that I don't draw scrutiny from passerby. As a bad guy trying to be better, I'll help out someone in dire need. Most of the time it works out that I'm not Wanted. Sometimes it doesn't. I can blame a rule set that I wish was different, or I can chalk it up to my own notoriety and move along. It does do a good job of making you feel like you are, occupationally-speaking, living slightly outside the societal norm.
back then, they didn't care if you where truly innocent or not. You are disturbing the peace - end of the line. want to stay alive ? then mind your own business and don't give anyone more reason to shoot you dead than they already got.
"but I was just helping..." wanna help ? stay low and keep quiet. we don't need more trouble maker.
In my opinion the real inconstancy is when you go back in a town you have a huge bounty and because time have passed, you can now say hi to the sheriff.... like really ? I'm got a $300 bounty on my sorry neck and you can't picture my face ? hell it's probably printed on your mug.
Graphics are not good they are absolutely insane on ultra 4K, you really should not put a post on to deter players from buying, especially when it is on sale and for me one of the best games I have had the pleasure to purchase
Loving the game in standalone very happy with the purchase.
