I guess you are lucky then, Its a well known fact that the AI reacts as in the videos above.
Have you tried to play as good guy? ( and did you watch the videos? ) I have quit the game multiple times because of the stupid AI.
Even though i like pc better i have to agree that console has a more friendly community in some games like rdr1, also because rdr1 had cooperative in gangs so people had a lot of fun they had no time to think about cheating, i hope Rockstar gives us a remastered rdr 1 on pc.
Like the quest for those stone carvings etc. They could have easily left stuff like that out on release and slowly introduce it later as a paid dlc, heh
It'll fool gamers like the op, omg look at all these dlcs guys! Rockstar cares about single player!! Can't wait to start the stone carvings added content!!!
Such a huge team behind the game. All those voice actors!! immersive huge world, great sound design - different sounds depending on what you hit when you shoot, all the artwork!! and so so many small details. You even walk differently on ice. If you want an open world wild west shooter you can't get any better at the moment.
The AI is such a small complaint, it can be buggy sometimes, true, but every open world AI is... just look at Skyrim, Witcher. Which is also a great games.
EDIT: Oh and I'm pretty sure Viva la dirt league made so many videos on the game because they liked it?
Then they come here and have nothing but toxic negativity about anyone who plays a online game while they say online is toxic.
If anything, judging by comments here, I would say the single player community is the most toxic community.
The OP is right that you shouldn't waste your money on single player though. If you want to read a story buy a book and not a 60 dollar hand held guided tour of a fictional west.
I have yet to play any of the DLC for 99% of the games that I bought before the DLCs were released. The exceptions being AC Origins, and maybe 1 or 2 others. I have dozens of games that released DLC later, and I never played them.
Let me give you an example, and see if you understand that.
I was riding into town,
2 bandits where shooting a civilian, i shot the bandits, trying to save the guy.
I get the law on my neck, for being good guy, thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
I was riding into town...and nothing like that has ever happened to me in 700 hours of play...EVER.
Hope your tiny mind can grasp that not every experience in a online game is the same and that's why close-minded people like you should stop being toxic against an entire community based on your personal experience. There's a word for folks like you in the real world.
And you think the videos i linked are made out of pure speculation?
Or facts?
You cannot be serious...
Taking two comedic videos and using them to try to imply the AI in the game is "broken" is so laughably dumb that it has left me wondering if you are one of the guys who made those videos and this thread is nothing but a way to self promote.
And? This is exactly what would happen in online mode also. So then what makes the AI in single player "broken" when your scenario here plays out the exact same way online.
As far as I'm aware RDR2 is the only game in existence where you can commit a crime, the police show up, and you can dynamically talk your way out of it.
Officer: "What's going on here?"
Arthur: "I have no clue, just got here myself"
Officer: "Well alright then move along"
What's more is that your ability to talk your way out of it relies entirely on your ability to remain incognito. If you are wearing an item of clothing that is recognizable as belonging to Arthur... or you have blood on you without an animal carcass to explain it away... then you get arrested.
Hell even the option to surrender and be arrested is pretty revolutionary. Can't think of even one other game with AI advanced enough to let you do this.
Seriously comparing RDR2 single player to RDR2 online is like comparing a finely tuned 1969 Shelby Mustang GT500 (single player) to a rusted out 1969 Ford Pinto (online)
The GT500 (single player) is a well constructed masterpiece, while the Pinto (online) is a frustrating hunk of junk that does nothing but cost you more money.
You are the one making that comparison, not me.
I never compared the 2 game modes
There is nothing more tiny-minded than calling people names for not believing or enjoying the things you do.
There are names for people like you...
