direct horse upgrade of "Black Chestnut Thoroughbred"?
hi everyone.
currently im still using theBlack Chestnut Thoroughbred. since it is one of the best horses (atleast thats what i have read), the only "upgrade" would be the Arabian, right? if not, what would be the direct upgrade?

also is there a way to choose your horeses gender? im just asking because i would like to name my horse the same like before (Annabelle) and only add "the second"/"the thiord"/... .

thx for any awnsers

The Arabian is not a direct upgrade. The speed and acceleration, yes. The toughness, no.
In Story you cannot change the gender of the horse.
In Online you can.

Have you seen this guide? It's got a stats breakdown for each horse which may help you decide.

I rode the black chestnut for a long time myself. It's a great horse, but I prefer the handling of the Arabian.

White Arabian is probably your next step. Black if you want to spend the gold, but it's only slightly better than the white. If you're newer to the game you may want to save your gold to unlock professions first.

If I'm not riding the Black Arabian I'm on the Norfolk Roadster from the Moonshiner career track which is also a fantastic horse.

The level 60 Turkoman is a great choice as well, but I didn't like it after training it up to level 4.

Lots of folks swear by their level 58 Missouri Fox Trotters.

My recommendation:
Get the White Arabian or Norfolk Roadster next unless you want to spend gold on the Black Arabian.

You're fine staying with the thoroughbred if you like it. You can change the gender by discarding it and getting a new one. It's an option in the lower right corner before you buy it. Bonding back to 4 goes pretty fast. None of the horses mentioned are better horses nor is the thoroughbred better than any of them. It's a top horse like you've read.

what i dont understand is why all the horse breeds are the same when it comes to fear , i used a warhorse for probably 200 hours , it was just as afraid of wolves as the worst horse in the game or the best , for a game so obsessed with accuracy the whole interaction with wolves lions bears is wrong , thats the greatest problem with the game i have , also the best horse shouldnt be the Arabian , it should be the Mustang

The big fat horses should be better, yeah. I have a theory about the rearing and how long you have to control your horse and jam out of there before it goes into the throw animation and the mustang is the one but it's not worth arguing about. The horse bravery is a myth army is just too big and they're probably right. But I like mustangs and the sprint button over calm.
