RDR2 online hackers and their mod menu
First, single player in Red Dead Redemption 2 is very immersive. Second, the online mode is also immersive and entertaining. I have enjoyed it very much, and considered a positive review of this game, but the online version of RDR2 is fraught with online "mod menu" hackers. When you experience a mod hack it completely ruins the intended game experience. The hacking occurrences for online players are increasing. Because of this, I cannot recommended the online version at all.

Have you experienced a mod menu hack while online? Would you still recommend this game and why? Have you found any information suggesting Rock Star would fix the issue? Lastly, given that the RDR2 online is severely hacked, do you think it's still worth the 2020/2021 asking price for the game?

Well you can get Online for 5 bucks atm, it's worth the experience, even if it results in a bad one.

I'm seeing far more griefers than hackers the last 2/3 weeks tbh.
Made me wonder if R* is quietly doing something to track n boot the fekkers, or if I've just been lucky lately.
Prolly wishful thinkin.
Would I recommend it?
For 5 bucks stateside, 7 and change in canada, why not.
There's still plenty to enjoy in RDO.
Be prepared to rant on occasion, though.

I see more hackers in Dead By Daylight, those devs are beyond incompetent.

Rockstar is not going to do anything unless, it hurts their bottom line($$$) which is never.
All you can do it video record it as proof then report it.

I'm dissappointed by the new crowd attracted by the $5-offer.

I've had rockstar support on chat and they pretty much said they won't do anything about the cheaters they didn't even know what they can do with the menus.

Woah! You are sure they are that blatant? You have screenshot or history chat of that?
I would minimally expect them to at least pretend to care and reply to you with typical 'Copy n paste' templates. But still I have them props for honestly

If they really don't know what to do with the Cheat menus, they could at lease hire cyber security engineers to deal with it.

Nearly every game has cheaters in it.

The other questions should be.
It's how cheaters are handled and when?
When security patches are rolled out to prevent it and how soon?

Well that's the drawback of not having a closed ecosystem. Consoles are much harder to hack whereas on PC it's no where near as much work for the hackers. Any rockstar game or game with poor anti cheat you're better just buying for your PS5 or Series X if you managed to get one.

Interesting. I was wondering if anyone actually spoke to them. I don't understand how they (Rock Star) are not aware of this when there is info about the hacks all over the net. It's too bad they are not interested in a fix. It is such a good immersive RPG game.

I had no idea the game was dumped for cheap to the peeps. The game (single and online) was gifted to me. When I last checked it was closer to $80 CND.

I was finishing a delivery mission, when my screen flickers and the carriage just appear in the middle of nowhere. It was literally at the end of the map. with 7 or 8 more people around me.

To level 9 only and learning the game, someone takes a shot and that's it. In a game like this, where distances matter a lot, someone being able to teleport other players is terrible.

Congratulations to the wanker who has to have fun ruining the game of others...
