QWERTY keyboard.
My windows has a french installation, however I use a QWERTY keyboard (french canadian). The game forced AZERTY on the key mapping.

Everything is set properly, the W is to move foward, however the W show up as a Z in-game so this is a bit confusing.

Any ways to fix this ?

Since you have to deal with windows audio mixer anyway you could likewise change the keyboard layout to English lol.
I think this should do it, maybe you have to do it before starting the game, not sure...

Well my keyboard layout is french-canadian so if I change it to english it does not work properly. This is not a solution, sadly.

Rockstar support have not been helpful for now, still waiting another reply.

Hmm for me it worked, very strange. What if you change/swap your keys in your keyboard software if available? Maybe there is also some layout switch integrated?

It does not make a difference. The game detect my W as a Z, but it works to move forward as it should.

How about use the change keys setting in game, swap the Z and W keys around.

Well if I do that, I will have to use my actual Z to move forward, which make no sense.

What do you mean, it makes no difference? Do you have any keyboard software installed, some layout switch, anything? If not you can get another keyboard or look into Windows settings again. What languages and keyboards do you find there?

No keyboard software installed. Plug and play. It's a logitech wireless K350, french-canadian keyboard layout. Langage is french-canadian, but if I put english the keyboard will not work properly as the layout isnt the same.

And with "English" the game still uses a AZERTY layout?

In Windows 10 you can change layout in "Time & Language" > "Language" section > click your language you're using and choose "Options" - there you could try to delete AZERTY if you don't use it anyway

If RDR2 app still refuses to use QUERTY it would be really strange

There is only a French Canada QWERTY keyboard active.

My windows installation is French. It might be the cause I guess.
