Watson's Cabin

I was about to go to Watson's Cabin for some loot and the semi-auto shotgun. If I pick up the shotgun will I have to give up one of my other weapons I have on the wheel. Or is this just considered an extra weapon that I can add to the weapon wheel.

The 2 holster weapons will always be at the top of the wheel, you can carry 2 more around your shoulder, you access them from your main horse saddle before each time you get off it

Sorry if you didnt understand,
bring up the weapon wheel , you should see all of the weapon types you have available for use.
Highlight a specific weapon type you want to equip.
Equip the ones that you want to be your primary weapons in those slots, you’ll have access to them regardless of where you are .
Repeat that to change weapons. by highlighting it.

The semi-auto shotgun will be considered an extra, new weapon and will be added to your collection. If you are already carrying 2 longarms on your back while picking up a new one the game will "drop" one of the 2 in order to carry the newest. This makes it seem like you're exchanging one gun for another, but you're not. As soon as you get back to your horse you'll be able to access your previously dropped gun again by cycling through your weapon storage. This mechanic can be misleading, but you won't actually end up losing any of your guns. Same thing applies to sidearms.

Thanks all, sorry if I didn't explain my concern better. I was worried if I picked up the shotgun I might lose one of my other longarms and I didn't want that to happen. I wasn't sure if there was a limit to the number of guns you could own. Thanks Isapicobella for clearing it up for me.
