What're your favorite horses?

For story and online? I'm curious haha. I know most people tend to just choose something with tons of speed and that's it, so i'm expecting a lot of Arabian comments

i'd love to see screenies of your horses, i really enjoy seeing what people go with and how they customize them

for me, since stats really don't matter all that much in the long run, I use a appaloosa in story mode (i love patterned horses like paints and appaloosas)

in online i have 6 horses...the Mealy Breton, Silver Kladruber, Leopard blanket appaloosa, Chestnut Turkoman, Black Overo Mustang and the Tricolor Norfolk roadster

but i have to say the Tricolor Roadster is my favorite, with the Black Overo a close second. Beautiful horses. Decided to get both for Christmas and they have fast become my favorites

now if only the gosh dang snow goes away so i can get good pictures haha!

lovely! i got the chestnut turkoman but i don't actually use her all that much (Also i see it EVERYWHERE haha!)

Wouldn't it be nice to have an extra feature at campsites that adds a small paddock so you could view your steeds? I hate putting them in the stable where I can't see them. :)

I nearly always give my horses long manes and tails. I might braid my Fox Trotter's mane at some point but I'm too stingey to spend 1 gold! The dreadlocks look a bit messy imo.

Since playing on PS4, I love the black chestnut Thoroughbred you get from the Ultimate edition, named her Cookie, so on PC I named her Cookie II.
But she’s so damn skittish, a snake can fart a mile away and she gets spooked. Thinking about getting a war horse but their stats suck in comparison, so maybe one of the multis like a Mustang or Breton (I like the look of the Steel Grey).

the mustangs are solid little horses, i've yet to be disappointed with mine. My breton is a beefy boy as well, though I prefer the mustang over him

agreed i love a good brave horse

i've noticed that breton, kladruber, mustang and my norfolk roadster are all good at handling predators and gunfire, however my appaloosa and my Turkoman seem a lot more skittish

Anyway, re war horses have you considered a Turkoman? They have great health stats. Andalusians are also pretty healthy and will take bullets like sponges but their overall stats are inferior compared to some of the multis.

I was pleasantly surprised at and impressed by my Chestnut Arabian's fearlessness in gunfire from bandits. Unfortunately she's not so fearless amongst predators and will spook.

At the moment I keep going back to my Missouri Fox trotter though, especially for bounty missions or if I want to get somewhere fast.

in terms of bravery, i think i'd rank my 6 as such:

Mustang
Kladruber / Breton (these two seem pretty tied)
Norfolk Roadster
Turkoman
Appaloosa

stats seem a lot less important, as a speed 10 horse is only like 30 seconds faster to a destination than a speed 3 or whatever, but my Overo mustang definitely has the best in terms of health/stamina and speed/acceleration combos
