Killing strangers on the road...
...to make a buck. Is it good? Will I get a bounty? Since there will be no witnesses, can I do it over and over without ever getting a bounty?

Need to make some early money. Have not unlocked the fence for the coaches yet.

it will get you a bounty yes - eventually its high enough to get you hunted by players and AI bounty hunters
anywhooooo
theres other ways - better ways to make a lot more money

such as
stranger missions
or
story missions
or
hunting ( sell to butcher )

Pays little. Yes, you will get a bounty on your head (a fun part of the game), just don't pay your fines. Bounty hunters will come looking for you, human and NPC.

Edit: Does not pay well.

It's singleplayer. So even if I kill someone in the middle of nowhere I will still get a bounty on me?

Sometimes; cart drivers and other strangers may eventually come up to the scene where you killed the person if you're on the roads, so that'll bring suspicion in, watch out; because I think if you stood in the blood of the person you killed, it'll make your boots have bloody footprints, and they could follow from there, I believe.

Hide the bodies, literally (in bushes etc) and let no witness escape.

Alright, thanks. I have tried killing a few and just run off without any witnesses and it seems to work fine so far. But you make very little or any money at all.

Here's the kicker. There's more to be made from looting dead bounty hunters, if ya catch my drift.
Edit: that's assuming you've met seamus.

@Bloodysod
I'm not catching your drift, partner. Who is Seamus?

So, you're the hunter that will come after me if my honour is too low, eh partner?

Keep your fines unpaid, don't pay. It's the most fun this game offers.

Will it be difficult, though? And will it interfere with the story? I'm in the beginning of chapter two.

No amount of money can stave off justice, and THE MARK OF ZORRO!
