I cant season meat

I have 5 different types of herbs. Do i need a grill to season meat? The herbs are greyed-out when i want to select season meat. Please help!!!

if herbs are greyed out means it's not in your inventory

You can only cook seasoned meat with 3 specific herbs: mint, oregano and thyme. Any other herb won't work.

And how do i transfer herbs from my horse storage to my own inventory!!!!!!

I'm assuming this is in singleplayer?

If so, there is a campfire at your camp that has a grill. And you won't need to transfer anything, your horse doesn't store any food, herbs, jewelry, etc. The horse storage is when you have pelts or the like or your horse.

When you are at the campfire you will have a list of things you can craft/cook, make sure you hover over the meat you want seasoned and press the arrows keys to change what herb you want to use (You can only season meat with either Mint, Oregano or Thyme)

Thank you for replying. Yes, i am singleplayer story mode.
At the camp there are 2 campfires. One where you get your daily stew and the other i have tried to cook at but there are only options to "rest" and chat to the others.

Set up a camp anywhere in the wilderness and cook

Your camp has multiple campfires. You can only craft at the scout campfire, which is usually near the horses. Or set up your own campfire anywhere in the wilderness.

The one that has a grill over it, you may need to move around that campfire to get the options to pop up to actually craft/cook.

Press left or right button over selected meat to find seasoned recipes.

Grill is only available if your horse is at your camp, so you could say that the horse has the grill in its inventory.

OK, looks like i can finally season food as the camp in chapter 3 has a scout camp fire.
