You can also sell legendary animals to Cripps for a huge amount.
There it's same as with normal animals: the whole carcass is worth more than the skin.
IMO, the coats from Gus are really ugly, with the hood being the shrunken head of the legendary animal.
Those hoods are worn like a hat, instead of like an animal mask.
if you already have the fashion you want, then like globefish23 said it is great to donate/sell full legendary animal carcasses to Cripps, they give a ton of materials.
selling legendary naturalist samples to Harriet from sedated animals is not really worth it for anything... unless you are very desperate for naturalist role exp...
and f.y.i. you cannot skin an animal if you already took a naturalist sample from it.
