TIRED OF DISABLING THE iGPU
does anybody know a less annoying solution to the game not opening?

I believe you can assign certain programs to only use the dedicated GPU when they're launched. You need to open up you're card's control panel, navigate to 3D settings, select the game's EXE file and select your dedicated GPU as the preferred one. You can also google "how to force an app to use dedicated GPU" if the instructions aren't clear enough.

Generally speaking, the iGPU and the dedicated GPU should be independent of each other... Try playing the game on the monitor that's hooked up to the dedicated GPU, if you aren't already... I have a dual-monitor set up, both of which are run from my actual graphics card, and I haven't had an issue with the iGPU... You should be able to select which monitor the game is shown on, in the in-game menus.

Right click on your desktop, open the NVidia Control Panel, look under 'Manage 3d Settings' and you should see 2 tabs on the right hand side of the window. Click the 'Program Settings' tab, and there should be a drop box. Click that, and find the application you want to change and find the CUDA - GPUs option and set that to your graphics card. You shouldn't have to "disable" anything.

I've got both my monitors hooked up to the graphics card, and my device manager doesn't even register the iGPU

Hrm... You might have to put both monitors on the graphics card then. Otherwise, you might need to call AMD tech support to help. The only other 'possible' I can think of is that the monitor not hooked to the graphics card is being read as the main monitor...

EDIT*** Explain your monitors to me. Do either of them have HDMI? If they both do, you'll have to either get a splitter, or use a VGA cable to connect the second monitor to the graphics card. Hooking them both to the dedicated should resolve the problem.
