What about midnight? Any fans?
i completed my first Story Mode (SP) playthrough with carbine repeater & pump-action shotgun, and cattleman's revolver (since the revolver is so useless - even though ur forced to use it at times)
And then i kept getting frustrated when the game would auto-set my loadout for certain missions
Me: "Oh - please - do give my a bow and arrow instead of the repeater i had in that slot"
Second playthrough i used the Lancaster whenever i could - strictly for the ammo capacity & range.
Third playthrough i relied more on my revolvers without aiming (or deadeye) for their fire rate (better than pistols) - more "roleplaying" style. Cattleman's and Schofield was my preferred loadout. Calloway's is good, but you only get it at end-game which is very sad.
Problem with hand-guns is how many shots it takes to drop someone without a headshot (and reloading time - but again "for roleplaying").
Midnight's pistol has a nice high fire rate, but damage was even lower than revolver low so i skipped it.
Sounds rough but understandable roleplaying-wise.
I actually got my Calloway’s on Chapter 2 so.. maybe you missed it? On stranger mission “The Noblest of Men, and a Woman”, loot from Jim Calloway.
And yeah same - second playthrough and Lancaster is rolling.
