On regular bounty posters, as you rank up towards rank 20, there are actually multiple bounty targets, (sometimes up to 6, which is quite hard to catch alive all together by yourself because they run, escape) If you are a really agile player and use bolas quickly and effectively while defending yourself meanwhile, it's still doable. But it's better to go for multiple bounties with at least with 1 posse member. You catch all 6 of them, stuff them in the wagon.
On new regular prestigious bounties, there are posters with multiple targets, but you catch them one at a time for each mission. Let's say there's a poster "silly brothers" Each time you play a mission on that poster you will catch 1 of the silly brothers, and the next time on the poster, the one you had caught earlier will have an X mark on their face. You can't play that same poster immediately after you cathed one of the bounties. You need to go do another one, and come back again. There's some cool down time.
Also now with the new update, there some radiant event bounty targets that spawn on the map. (just like hideouts, moonshine bootlegger missions, a red circle) Those bounties are very easy to catch, they are usually alone, and the delivery destination is super long for some reason, and it only pays $1 as a reward. If you are grinding xp, it's fine. Other than that those are just waste of time.
There are also player bounty targets but I really don't know how that actually works. I just saw the pop up a few times saying - player bounty nearby, but was never able to spot them.
Hope this helps.
I started to think that maybe the reason why I had only a single target bounty mission despite choosing a gang poster was that I didn't have my bounty wagon "equipped" while starting the mission. But I had no idea that some gang bounties are designed this way (that you catch them one by one).
As for playing solo on an multiple targets mission - I usually try silent approach first anyway. It should help some (depending on the mission design). But I understand that players can use tracking arrow that prevents targets to escape (or at least makes it's harder since target stays detected from greater distance and is also slower). I haven’t ordered this pamphlet yet.
BTW. What's the deal with reinforced lasso? Is it normal that targets still can break free from it? Does it only make it less likely?
Also - is there a way to hit the bounty (put him to sleep) anytime I want while he’s on horseback? Or is it always a QTE sort of thing?
