want gold on this stealth mission to recover a Chalupa or whatever

Whatever the damn peace pipe is called, R* really is irking me with this quest. I know stealth is likely optional but I would really like to just get this item quickly because the enemies, I swear, have eyes on the back of their head, they're all supposedly drunk and whatnot but if Arthur's boot touches just a bit of small rocks whilst they're all talking, they go "I think I heard something!" yes, it's called a sense of hearing, I hear stuff all the time. Sigh.

Are there special boots that are sold to make stealth easier? Should I take off my spurs? I thought those were just for aesthetics. I really don't get it. I would like to do this mission without killing anyone so I get gold on the mission, that's the only reason.

This mission starts off with about 5-8 minutes of an unskippable non-cutscene and then...I have no idea why the AI pathing is so...psychic or something, but do I need to go when it's completely dark? I just don't know how to do stealth for this mission. It feels like it's impossible to try to look for the pipe

I feel like if the game wants me to do stealth, it shouldn't make it impossible. I feel like tossing dynamite into the area instead and taking a dumb bronze completion instead.
