you go to the weaponwheel and then inspect them, or go to a gunsmith and customize them, should also allow you to oil them

Anywhere outside of camp (efen on horseback) open weapon wheel, go on the desired weapon and tap middle mouse button. You need to have oil gun available obviously.

Note that it is cheaper to have them cl;eaned at the gun shop than buying gun oils.

Just want to add to it, if you play a storymission then you hve a option to clean all guns and buy ammo., it can be a fast option if you have/use alot diffrent weapons, instead of inspect all wep and clean them one by one.

Start mission - clean all guns -return to free roam.

Thanks guys, i went to a gunsmith in Saint Denis and got it solved there.

I also found out how to actually use the gun oil, for some reason i never saw the "maintain" option when pressing TAB and looking at the gun. LOL

i think its middle mouse button, not sure tho, and yeah, alot of times it is greyed out especially in camp, when you are near enough to interact with something else. glad you got the problem solved :) happy trails sir!!!

On the PC, at least for me, it's strange. I hit TAB, move my mouse over a weapon, and the popup in the right corner of the screen tells me I need to use the middle mouse button to maintain the weapon. But that doesn't work. Hitting "F" does, though.

yeah it is only economical to clean your guns by yourself if they are more than 1.50 worth of dirty. you'll use a a buck fifty oil to clean what the gunsmith would charge you 26 cents for.
