Is the lasso really that bad on the PC version of control?
I try to use lasso when it needs on the mission or just for fun but the only big problem that the lasso with mouse and keyboard, didn't stick to the person even if I'm so close to them and even pointing at them, but when I get controler and it automaticaly aim at the person it easily capture a person in it, tell me is it only me being bad with lasso or there is something that prevent me from putting lasso on the person if I use mouse and keyboard?

Okay I just tried this on my horse. Six feet away, press R&L mouse buttons, spin and get red dot on head, release just L mouse button. Worked. Now to try it in wild, on horse back!

As far as I am aware on mouse and keyboard you dont have lock on, so aiming is all you. While on console/controller you get aim assist. So in short on mouse and keyboard you get no help with aiming.

KB&M requires you to actually aim and have a bit of skill, Controller uses aim assist which makes the game feel like you on rails and requires no physical brain to operate
I never had any problems for lasso

Can't you use KB+M with aim assist too though? Even though I find it in poor taste I think you can have aim assist on KB+M just as well.
I Don't believe we can it's solely for controller

Looks like I'm the only one who can't deal with this thing on the keyboard and mouse, because I try everything but it all against me even if I'm ready to jump on that poor man just to do not use a lasso or connect a controler instead for this job.

While there obviously is no lock on for KB&M, lassoing isn't actually all that hard.

As long as you have the reticule/dot centered or even near the target when you click to throw the lasso and you are close enough, the lasso will, for lack of a better term, guide itself correctly to get the target. You don't need to physically try to keep the dot on the the target after you have clicked, just keep it as close as you can and you'll see the lasso fly towards him and do it's thing.

Failure, I been tried it before, again again and again, doesn't work it just hit the target but don't capture it.

Nope... Aim assist does not apply to KB&M

I mentioned having problems with this. I tried on wild horses, got some marker to tell me right time, but never caught any.

Tried it on practice target, no good.

I think I finally got it. It's a bit like fishing, just the right buttons and movement. When I finally caught something, made mistake of letting finger off mouse button and it was free. So I think it is harder with K&M but possible.

Interesting how many people prefer a controller than a keyboard and mouse, if I had a skill of playing on controller I wouldn't have this problem but, I'm skilled with playing KB+M so that's why it is only issue with this thing, I tried trow rope ahead, didn't work, I try to focus and stay close to the target, didn't work well to, only way for me it is to harm a horse which I don't want to or change controls to the controller, I think I'm only one bad cowboy here who is so bad at using lasso :D

Damn the only problem that I always release both buttoms and that is why I can't capture no one, thank you, I think I'm really bad cowboy. xd

Yes I realised I was doing the same. Releasing the lasso like a real one. Just cost me a horse I really wanted.

But rethought it and caught white Arabian. Just chuffed to catch a horse!
Next problem stamina levels drop so quick you can lose horse.
