[SOLVED] [SP] Can't pick-up Granger's weapon. What is this up/down symbol they're throwing in my face?

DROP CATTLEMAN REVOLVER {funny up/down symbol, looks like tab key but rotated 90 deg}
FOR GRANGER'S REVOLVER {middle mouse button}

Now I THOUGHT this meant scroll the mouse wheel ... but nothing other than the regular happens (I swap from being unarmed to holding a pistol or the like)

Yes, I have slightly tweaked the keyboard configuration: middle button is now what is normally the Tab key. So, thinking it might be a game bug around the tab key, I press and hold F4 (inventory wheel), press "R" once to go to the weapon wheel, and, still holding the F4, scroll the mouse wheel to zero effect.

Is the game bugging out, or am I??

The up/down arrows apparently mean "tap really quickly" the middle mouse button.

How slowly were you clicking the button?

I guess I never sharp-clicked it because I know that button as the Weapon wheel, and therefore it's a hold button, so I only ever saw the weapon wheel flash on screen.
