Best launcher?
I am considering on purchasing RDR2 soon and I read that the Steam launcher has some problems.
So should I just buy it on the Rockstar launcher or have the problems been patched?
If they haven't, is it hard to manually fix the problem?
I believe that all you have to do is clear the download cache or whatever. Not sure just read something like that in the review page.

i have rdr2 and it’s on steam, it’s fine for me but i found really nothing wrong besides only a couple game crashes but there’s nothing to worry about

Game runs fine for me just like it does for about 20000 other players.

You will always use R* social club launcher. Also the problems I have read and experienced have been with it.

Been using RS for RS games for years, never had a problem.
Using the launcher alows you check game files / move folder directly, much the same as steam does but more clearly.

I have friends on the RS social club so that all works well.
There do seem to be many that have problems using the Steam version but as always there are even more that have zero problems.

I have one RS game on Steam (LA Noire) and I regret it now.
My preference goes to RS.

Alright thanks guys. The general consensus seems to lean towards Steam

NP, I tend to use title based launchers, RS, Orgin and so on.
Have a GG...

dont listen to these comments. just know Your mileage may vary. this port is horribly optimized. its a nice game with horrible coding and optimization and some people with some systems might not have any issues. SO MANY have problems and most of it is due to rockstars launcher. be warned.

thats a stretch. there are threads upon threads on steam and reddit about this games issues. the truth is Red dead 2 is horribly optimized especially for users with factory overclocked GPUs. on top of that, Rockstar san diego have NEVER released a good PC port if any porting to PC at all.

Thanks for the heads up, I guess I may just use Steam since I can refund if it doesn't work. Idk
