Any way to stop Arthur from stashing his weapons on his horse all the time?

I always use a rifle and a shotgun and I prefer to always have them on me. Instead of carrying the guns on his back, Arthur keeps stashing them in his saddle every time I hop on my horse. I'm really tired of having to retrieve them all the time I need to rob a store or when Arthur falls down while fighting bounty hunters, so is there any setting or maybe a mod that would stop that fool from putting his guns away all the time?

nope.. he will always put weapons in saddle while riding for some time.. but you can go to the gunsmith and set weapons you like to default.. i forget exact buttons or way to do it but can be done.. then when Arthur leaves horse for any reason.. your default weapons will be equipped..

i also read a update added a weapons storage box to single player.. i havnt tested to confirm that yet but if it works like online mode, you should have a storage box at camp where your tent is.. store weapons you dont like there..

Yeah, I've tried both the gunsmith and the weapons stash. Neither worked, sadly.

Storage is in wardrobe in SP and can store all but melee weapons and the chosen melee weapon always resets itself to the standard knife eventually.
A weapon on back and one in hand should stay as long as keep that weapon at the ready but yeah shoulder and back will auto store on horse.

I think it's really great at what it does and I like it for that, but questionable mechanics like this weapon stashing system, the very long, empty rides from one place to another, the unfair moral scale and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fact that I can have guns drawn on me by the police, have them chase me, adding hundreds to my bounty just for telling a bystander in Saint Denis to sod off just suck the pleasure out of the game.

Also, thanks Wayz. I tried putting crap I didn't want, like pistols, in a weapon locker and couldn't for whatever reason.
When I go back to SP I will try the wardrobe.
It was annoying as hell to have one of my schofields always being replaced with that dumbass flashy gold pistol. I'm no James Bond.

Do love this game though, overall.

You described every fun part of it actually.

Its for an authentic wild west experience brother. Long empty rides are the ♥♥♥♥. Pour some coke and enjoy the view. Also, you can (Im serious no cap) raise your bounty level so bounty hunters will appear more often on the roads, giving a minor challenge while taking long rides across the map. I myself keep my bounty high as I find it fun to just start a shooting fight in the middle of nowhere, it shakes it up a bit. Plus they always have good loot. A lot of tonics and cash. Try it 👌

Yeah, my bounty is already at least 500 in all the states I've visited because of omnipotent witnesses with cellphones and future tech facial recognition.
