How do you know which mission is main story mission?
How do you know which mission is side mission and which mission is main mission?
Is there any indication as to which yellow small circle on map is for main story missions and which ones are just side missions or is it that many are part of main story (or all) and you need to complete all of them to advance a chapter?
I'm still in chapter two and I have two missions left. One from Javier near blackwater and one from Dutch in the camp. I think they're called somehting like The Quiet Time and All Shall Be Last
and Im' not sure which one to do first. Does it even matter?
Accoring to an article nline it says I should do All Shall Be Last first and then The Quiet Time.
I am loving this game so far but am afraid of missing stuff.

The game does the pacing by itself, the story missions only appear when their requirements are met and the ones that appear at the same time don't have the same characters involved so you don't really have to worry about which mission to do first/last.

I'm not completely certain, but just from my own observation while playing, I've noted that if you see a mission marker that looks golden, that is one of the main storyline missions needed in order to continue. If you see missions in white, they are side missions (can be found within your camp from fellow gang members or just strangers out in the wilderness). Basically, if you want to continue on with the story, stick around camp and don't worry if you accidentally choose a side mission, they can be just as fun and rewarding. I personally recommend for the best gaming experience to keep an eye open for side missions anywhere on the map and do them as soon as you find them because with time, they will go away and some of them do not come back. So, take your time, enjoy the scenery and do not rush the story. There's far too much to see and do to only care for the storyline. To answer your Blackwater/Dutch mission issue, go see Javier first.

And do please try to be sneaky and stay off the main paths. Lots of posses looking for you down south and there's always a chance to run into them even though you have a mission to do there. If you decide to return to Blackwater afterwards, be ready to fight wave after wave after wave of posses. I tried to see how far I could go without getting killed and I never even made it to McFarlane Ranch.

Yeah I always try to go as slow as possible and do all the side missions and then slowly continoue story and then repeat as I move into new areas. Lookin to get 100% completion of the game. I agree in many games side missions are often extremely good.
Yeah i saw some info on web andit also said to see javier first so I'ma do that.
Yeah I noticed that you are wanted in south west of map and that some other areas too have a red tint over them like fort wallace or that island east of seint denis. Thanks for info.
I guess since everything in this game story wise is so intertwiend and complex and sawned together with lots of moving parts and npc stories there isn't a single main missions but bunchof them with some being optional and some not or somehting like that of sorts.
I'll just compile a few sources of info on these topics when they arise as a play and see what they all say and if some say different then other's I'll just ask here.
So far it wasn't too hard to decipher what mission is mor eimportant and has more priority then the other and none locke dme out of stuff as of yet but these two are last ones left and neither provided too much info so I had to do some research and ask around.
Next stop, blackwater. Man I'm loving this game so far. It's really good. Gonna be playing it for hundreds and hundreds of hours. Thanks again on info, aprreciate it.
