Restarting a new character on Red Dead online because of trading bug

I am thinking of restarting a new character on Red Dead online due to my frustration with a bug thats causing Cripps butcher table to not show up when trying to kick off the trading profession. If anyone knows a fix to this bug please let me know. I have already contacted rockstar support and sent a ticket but its already been a week and no answer.

I figured that restarting my character on Red Dead online might be the only way at the moment. But I wanna know do you lose your online progression if you do? Do you lose your licenses and gold and so on? Spent a little bit of real world money to kickstart things and I dont want to lose that progress because of some stupid bug.

Question: What happens when I delete my character in Red Dead Online?

Answer: All player information, including any spent Gold Bars or RDO$, is lost along with weapons, mounts, rank, unlocks, etc. Any unspent Gold Bars and Cash remaining in the account will be available for use by the new character.

I appreciate the answer even though it only answers half my question, however that doesn't fix my issue with the bug. I dont want to lose that progress preferably. After some searching, restarting does fix the bug. But if there is a way to fix the bug without restarting Im all ears.

Is that how it is with Rockstar support? I've sent support tickets out before (other companies) and they are usually answered in a few days...

And yeah I would really like to avoid deleting my character.

The only thing you could do is waiting and hoping this bug is fixed very soon.

If the restarting is not a 100% sure "fix" I would not want to advice taking that risk.
As the answer from R* says: you loose everything.

If you have close to nothing, it might be worth the try of course.

I only gave answer to the questions; "But I wanna know do you lose your online progression if you do? Do you lose your licenses and gold and so on?"

About a possible fix I cannot help you: my knowledge isn't reaching that far unfortunately.

I hope someone can provide you with that info

There is no fix besides starting a new character and buying the butcher table during the mission. They aren't helping anyone anymore with the bug and they don't seem to be fixing it.

I'd try posting on official Rstar forums and see if a forum mod there can throw you to front of line

Thanks guys. Looks like I might have no other option, for the time being, so I'll probably just take the plunge and start anew. You get to keep your money and gold so ill just sell all my stuff before I do. Ill probably ask with the ticket if Rockstar could possibly reimburse me in some way through the game. If that eventuates to anything I'll post on here if they did. Though I doubt that they would.

Some people have said that they were able in some way to replay the meeting with Cripps and get a second chance to buy the table. Try to look up how to replay that meeting before waiting for support or restarting your character.

Theres no way to replay the meeting with Cripps lol if that was an option people wouldn't be stuck.

Verify your files. If that does not work. There is a way to delete your player cashe files. (Had a similer problem) I just can not for the life of me remember and when I went back to R* support the page was missing showing me how to do it. (It fixed my issue)

A dumb question. Did you buy it yet?

Well, I went n bought some gold with real money and bought the butcher table and have been using it for a bit now. If it didn't show up in camp after paying real money, I would have put up a major fight!

I think you mean this:

open your Rockstar launcher.
Go to settings.
Go to account information.
Delete your Local profile.
Confirm it.

And then log in again.

Ah damn thats a shame. Yeah I bought it. Basically I got Red dead when it first came out on PC, got to the part where you're supposed to install the table but decided to give it a break for a while and recently just started playing again, and its not displayed. Been doing a lot of searching online, its def a bug and it should be there.
