alt tabbing randomly

Yeah I've been experiencing this quite often since the recent update

Yeah. It now always happens to me if I plug or unplug my mouse or keyboard (which I end up doing frequently, because normally I have them plugged into my main computer and use synergy / barrier to be able to share the mouse and keyboard my Windows machine, but for whatever reason, the mouse doesn't work properly with this game when I do that, so I have to physically move the cable). So, I think that part of the problem is that it's reacting badly to USB devices appearing or disappearing, though since I would think that most people aren't messing with what they have plugged in, that's probably not the only part of the problem, just a way to make it happen consistently.

Fortunately, while it happens several times after I plug the cable in, it usually seems to calm down and stop happening again until I unplug it and plug it in again.

yeah never even touched my mouse or keyboard connections... its annoying. it keeps alt tabbing in and out while im in middle of a firefight or etc

sounds like a windows prompt might be going off in the background, notifications maybe.
is rdr2 set to fullscreen or borderless window? try switching that.
if it's happening mostly when you're in a gunfight, it might be sticky keys, used to happen to me in arma3, on win10 go to settings > ease of access > keyboard and turn sticky keys off.
hope ya fix it, it's annoying as hell when it happens.

It's not related to Sticky Keys but it only happens to me when I'm holding down shift. I changed my overlay ages ago to CTRL + ` due to games where u run and press TAB for a radial menu. (RDR2 included)

I have this problem constantly. Even in the menu or loading.
Every 6-7 seconds the game alt-tab on the launcher and back to the game.

Totally unplayable!!!

I tried to uninstall and reinstall it.

Nothing.

Full screen, borderless window, window mode, same problem with all of them.

Fix this damn thing!!!!
