Where can I find CD / activation code for RDR2 on Steam

Hi; I;ve recently purchased RDR2 on Steam but cannot activate since Rockstar Kauncher sends an activation mail to wrong email adres (crap). In order to help me Rockstar support asked me to provide them with the activation serial key. I can not find this key in Steam (I'v rightclicked on RDR2 and on the cogwheel but nothing there). Can somebody please help me out where to find this in Steam? Best Rick

You cant. i had the same issue. but they did not understand because they are retarded. i contacted steam and they said they could not give me one. and i sent that as proof.

If anyone is looking for more info: Steam stopped doing CD keys for most games in 2019. Rockstar has no idea how games are sold on steam;. There is no CD or Activation key for this game in Steam. Its license is attached to your Steam account, and then again with your account in Rockstar's Social Club. If the Social Club account is compromised then Rockstar will give you a headache while they attempt to make it appear that they are helping you. I was hacked about 6 months ago and I still havent been able to login to this game again to this day... hopefully someday it will resolve, I really loved the cinematic scenery in the game.

Have you solved the problem? im also hacked and they keep sendming me to eachother with no help

currently trying to sort out the exact same issue. sent them a screenshot if this thread as well as steam ID and email receipts of my game purchases. will update everyone if this gets resolved

Three year old post, but anyway: The details of every Steam purchase can be found by clicking on your profile avatar in Steam and going to account details, purchase history. There is a transaction ID as proof of ownership, date purchased etc.

@Plastik - not remembering or keeping the answers to security questions is all on you, blame yourself.

i have just heard back from rockstar games. it seems the receipts and everything worked and im in the process of recovering my account with a new email. so SOLUTION seems to be acquiring proof of purchase and confirm original social club nickname with them. and dont forget to badger them. hope this helps anyone with the same issue

3 yr old post but still googles top result. had a few mates recently with the same issue. all got sorted today with the email receipts specifically.

I lost GTA V and RDR2 and tried for 6 month to get RS support to help me. And I had the exact same issue and expirence as you. So they refuse to link the Social club back to me from the Hackers email. And I cannot open them. 100 euro worth of games. But they dont care. I am furious with them.
