Will I get banned from GTA:O for playing FiveM?
Nope! FiveM does not interact with the Rockstar Online Services other than to validate your game copy the first time you launch it. This validation emulates the game's interaction, and can not be detected by Rockstar.
It also doesn't modify your game files at all, even when downloading server assets, so you don't have to do anything to move between FiveM or GTA:O.
Back in 2015, Rockstar tried to ban and dissolve FiveM servers. Don't know if the thing went to courts or not. Thing is everyone (famous streamers and youtubers included) play in their servers. Obviously if you contact R* and ask them, they'll say it's a No-NO because third party use is not allowed but truth is today you can play freely. I don't like FiveM, as an old school table RPG player, i find what they call "roleplay" a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥, a false RP, but hey if the boys want a little dope, let' em have their dope, man.
djeezes christ man, why did you think R* took away that API, so they want to force RedM in doing it ilegal so they can take actions and close redm down. what use is to redm when they can't get new players (its fantastic for R* they won't lose more players to redm, probably why they took away the api)
use your brain, and stop eating with others shove into you with out thinking for your self.
like i said don't take my word for it, ask R*
you are a moron.
read bedman's comment and just stop
seriously, where do you guys get this idea. just read the copyright rules this game has. if redm does not change the game in anyway like they say they don't then how does it connect to redm server? eh, that's right the changed the game somehow "not a modder" that's what mods does! oh and before you all go ape again R* does not support mods but tolerates them somewhat.
the reason why R* did not take down RedM or the fivem is because they don't care.. this said all that does not make it legal to do so. and one day "when R* cares" you lot may sing a very differend tune.
PS: and i know RedM does not connect to official servers! that's not the point here stop bringing that up! the point here is RDR2 gets alterd to connect to other "none" official server and that in its own is ilegal. no matter the fact that RedM does this for ages now. and seeing R* took out the API redm was using to check some things shows that R* may finally starting to do something about this and maybe soon RedM and fiveM will be gone.
i'm now i'm really done here, its clear you guys really like to fool your selfs either to give your self a false sens of security or to not get gult for playing and doing something ilegal who knows. its hard to win an argument from fanboiys. so i'll slip out of this thread now and wish you lot the best of luck.
Sad I didn't know about this earlier as having access to something to bypass the public cesspool would have been nice had I chosen to play online at some point....
look, i do know what i'm talking about, RedM is illigal as far as i know "did not do research but i don't see R* release that version" [/quote]
how the tables turned
ofc if the bird that told me lie'd, i em, so don't rage at me. but makes really good sens why R* did not take down the many RP servers out there.
