New Online Character Issue

So I have just decided to play RDR2 Online for the first time. I created a character, took my 'picture' and entered the online mode.

When I entered the world, I was placed randomly in the woods southwest of Blackwater and I have no equipment and no missions. Nothing. I am in prison clothes and can wander around but not given any direction or story.

Is this normal? What am I supposed to do right after character creation for Online? If this is not normal, what is and how do I get to 'normal'?

This is NOT normal. You are supposed to be in prison (cutscene) and after this in a prison transport.

I'm having the same problem. I created my character, then Rockstar online services failed and now I keep spawning with nothing and no tutorial mission. I have no idea how to fix this.

Is the same, I created 3 and the problem still.

Insert a joke about this being the new naturalist role? I'm not sure.

Do you have your holsters on? Have you tried going to stores etc? Are there other players able to see you?

Maybe try to create a new character if you can enter the via the change appearance or any other menu's and simply delete the char and start over again, might work.

Deleting char doesnt works at least for me.

No holsters, no events, no stores. You have a satchel and your fists. There are no icons on the map and story missions are 'locked' with 0%. You get 1,000 cash but no way to spend it so you cannot even just buy a horse/gun/clothes on your own.

Right-click Red Dead redemption. Properties, Local files. Check for Errors in Game Files.
It fixed bug with me until now :)

I've already done this before posting here, checking the files. Even reinstalled RDR2 and rebooted my modem if it was something on my end.

No response on the help ticket I submitted so no clue what this error is about (Google Fu shows nothing for it sadly).

And after that. I removed( % temp% ). and then from Trash. on desktop. have played since my post without crashing :)
