Use the right caliber, do not be a porilainen poliisi shooting big animals with pistol caliber.

Use bolt action rifle to shoot the head or heart for easiest kill. Bow headshots also work.

as I understood it, you need to shoot animal until your hitmark goes red. this means that animal received enough dose of sedative and will pass out in 10-15 sec. maybe shooting animal in the head requires less shots, idk. I shot a wolf like 4-5 times until it felt asleep.

Might want to re-read their question. They are referring to sedating them, that's only a .22 cal. Or if you don't know what we are talking about, stop living so July 27th and get with the times. :P

Not my video but I knew someone would be super fast to post one. I do wish it did not cut time out to get a better idea how long it takes for them to drop.

Must also Track, Study, and Photo in order to catalog it.

The bigger the animal the more shots it will take, on the last shot required, the weapon crosshair will turn red and you will here a little sound to let you know its sedated, follow it 100yd and it will drop to sleep leaving an icon on your map.
