Are there actually any badgers??
I've been looking at every guide and map I can find. I'm trying to get the perfect badger pelt for the satchel upgrade, and for the life of me I just cannot find any badgers. I've gone to every area any map or guide tells me, and there are just never any badgers, 1-, 2-, or 3-star. I've waited day and night, done everything I can think of. Baits seem useless in this game since nothing of use ever comes to them.

Despite already looking for this info everywhere else, I'll just ask here for opinions: is there any area where anyone has consistently seen badgers??

Yeah LOL. They are more concentrated on Butcher Creek, you can spot their engineering there too.

This animal was nightmare to find. But there is like 80% spawn spot chance near braithwaite manor, under big tree and badger dont move at all so super easy to just save/load spam and get perfect 3*, took me like 20-30 reloads to get that 3* spawn but atleast i didnt had to search for animal itself. Gonna post location pic once game finish update.

Thanks. I got super lucky and just rode over there, and sure enough there was one right where you said. I couldn't believe it. 3-star perfect pelt. I walked right up and didn't even eagle eye; happened to be holding my varmint rifle and he looked right at me and it was almost a shot from the hip too! but it landed right between the eyes. Has to be the craziest lucky 3-star kill I've gotten yet ><
