Help to launch (Gets the message "Please update your driver) SOLVED

For anyone else experincing the same issue: download winzip driver update


When I try to launch RDR2 it says I have to update Intel to version 27.20.100.8280 or newer. Currently it's on version 22.20.16.4836.

I've been trying to launch RDR2 pratically all day, been watching youtube tutorials and installed Intel DSA. According to Intel, my version is up to date but I still have the wrong version. I have been trying to manually install the 27.20.100.8280 version but I must have done something wrong or missed something.

I don't know if my laptop is too old, I've had it for about 2-3 years now (I rebooted it last summer, I'm not sure if that's important to mention)

FYI:
My laptop is adapted for gaming, I have had no problem modding the hell out of skyrim
My computer intel is the 7th generation i5(Intel(R) HD Graphics 630) and NVIDIA GeForce GTX (1050)

If anyone else has had this problem I would appreciate if you shared how you solved it

Try to find that driver version and delete the old drivers I don't know
Windows update usually does it automatically

You don't need Intel driver. As a matter of fact, this game shouldn't even care about your Intel graphics. It should only fancy your gtx1050.

My laptop is almost the same as yours except one generation newer and it has no problem with this game.

It doesn't look like the game is asking for integrated graphics it's asking for the cpu to update for a better driver
The game wouldn't even start on integrated graphics even so check that you gtx 1050 is the preferred graphics in the Nvidia control panel

That's why I said check the Nvidia control panel set preferred graphics to the 1050 instead of integrated graphics read my post op also said rd2 asking for the cpu driver to be updated and I highly doubt that Intel integrated graphics can even start rdr2
So it must be the game can't run on the old drivers
When I got the game it kept freezing until I installed a beta driver for my cpu freezing stopped arfter that

Just update/replace your CHIPSET drivers first (normally found on the website of your laptop manufacturer), this should be sufficient.
After that get the newest Nvidia driver which supports your GTX 1050.
Now you just make sure your prefered output is the 1050 and u should be good to go.
The game should not care at all about your integrated graphics if the 1050 is selected as output, but maybe just some funny buisness happened with your chipset driver.

I wonder of they ever even bothered to look and see the problems people are having with the newest set of GeForce drivers and maybe think that people don't WANT TO USE the newest version.
