No i didn't...
In fact i'm still in Chapter 2 and almost hunted every Legendary Animal...

you cannot get all the animals at this point, finish the challenges and story mode.

If i recall, you can only get the Panther after completing hunter? challenges. Also, some legendary animals are in the desert, so you cannot get them until epilogue.

Don't worry, just play the game and get the animals later on (but if you must, go for Trapper and camp upgrades), not legendary ones.
